Words of inspiration can sometimes come from unlikely places. I was flipping through the pages of United Airlines in-flight magazine and came across a quote by music producer Glyn Johns on what makes Eric Clapton a guitar god:
When he plays, it looks like his musicality goes straight from his heart to his fingers. It doesn't go via his brain, so it's a completely emotive response.
This is how you should approach writing. Words should flow from your heart straight to your fingers madly scribbling across the page. Channel this energy and it will take you far.
